Kepi of Marshal of France mod "Polo" 1935
Reproduction of a kepi of Marshal of France during the Second World War.
This cap presents, as required by the regulation, a rounded visor in black patent leather. A flat gold soutache called "a bushel" is pressed on the visor.
The blue-black velvet headband is adorned with three rows of oak leaf and acorn branches, half embroidered in matte cannulas and shiny yarn with glitter ribs. The junction of the headband and the turban is trimmed with three horizontal soutaches: a string of sequined gimped is surmounted by a twist in gold cannetille and a last rod in silver candy of 3 mm for rank of superior officer.
The turban includes three distinctive vertical gold soutaches similar to army general. The cap, of the same shade as the turban, receives a simple soutache in a gold cannet around the edge of the cap, in its recess, and a Hungarian knot in soutache of four strands for superior officer, sewn gold in the middle.
Inside silk beige.
